He was born in 1978. After completing his primary and secondary education in different provinces, he continued his studies at Trabzon Central Imam Hatip High School and completed his high school education in 1995. He graduated in 2000 from the Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Istanbul University, which he entered in 1996.

Between 2008 and 2009, he completed Okan University’s Local Governments Academy as the top student of his class.

In 2011, he completed his master’s degree at the Institute of Science and Technology of Bahçeşehir University in the field of “Construction and Transportation Management in Urban Systems,” earning the title of Senior Civil Engineer.

In 2018, he completed with distinction training in engineering software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and NetCAD in Japan, as well as the “Disaster and Crisis Management Specialization” programs carried out in cooperation with JICA (Japan Disaster Coordination Center) and Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).

He earned his doctorate from Istanbul Haliç University by completing his PhD in Business Administration on the topic “The Development of Civil Aviation and a Model Study for Establishing a Logistics Hub in the Case of Sabiha Gökçen Airport.”

He began his professional career between 1999 and 2003 at Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) as a Control, Survey, and Field Engineer. After completing his military service, he worked as a Project Manager at a private construction company in 2004. Following which he has accepted the offered role by İSKİ as the control engineer and supervisor and worked between 2004 and 2009 making significant contributions to major projects, especially in trenchless technology applications.

After starting work as Technical Coordinator at Istanbul Beyoğlu Municipality in 2009, he held various positions. Subsequently, he served as Deputy Mayor of Beyoğlu (Technical) for 7.5 years between 2014 and 2021.

On 02.07.2021, he was appointed Deputy General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at the General Directorate of State Airports Authority.

In 2021, during his senior position at DHMI, he chaired delegations on behalf of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure in international projects carried out in Afghanistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and other countries.

After taking office, he also served as Chairman of the Board of Airfield Operation and Aviation Industries Inc. (HEAŞ) for two terms between 2022 and 2024.

In addition, during his tenure as Chairman of the Board of the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport Authority (HEAŞ), he carried out important projects within the framework of capacity increase efforts with the opening of the second runway and aviation activities related to operations.

Between 2021 and 2026, he served as Deputy General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at the General Directorate of State Airports Authority.

By Presidential Decree dated 30.08.2026, he was appointed Chairman of the Board and General Manager of the General Directorate of State Airports Authority.

He has also worked as a senior executive in various non-governmental organizations. He is a national Wushu athlete. After his active sports career, he held administrative roles such as international Wushu referee and coach in sports federations and sports associations. He currently also supports educational activities as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Beyoğlu Education and Culture Foundation.
