ANTALYA AIRPORT’S NEW TERMINAL BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN IN SERVICE FOR ONE YEAR



Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a written statement on the anniversary of the new terminal buildings at Antalya Airport, which were opened on April 12, 2025 in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Minister Uraloğlu said, “We have increased the annual passenger capacity of Antalya Airport from 35 million to 82 million.”

Annual Passenger Capacity Increased to 82 Million

Stating that the new terminal buildings and complementary facilities at Antalya Airport are one of the important steps for the development of the civil aviation sector, Minister Uraloğlu said, “As part of the expansion project, we increased the annual passenger capacity of our airport from 35 million to 82 million. With its new capacity, Antalya Airport has become the second airport with the highest passenger capacity after Istanbul Airport, which has a capacity of 90 million passengers.”

Passenger Numbers Rose by 5 Percent Compared to the First Quarter of Last Year

Minister Uraloğlu pointed out that Antalya Airport served 2,983,868 passengers in the first quarter of 2025 and said, “Our passenger numbers are increasing day by day. In the first quarter of 2026, the number of passengers we served at our airport increased by 5 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 3,138,499.”
